What Is and How to Use A Hydraulic Pump Truck

The hydraulic pump truck makes use of a chassis power to drive all the work. A balance switch is used to control whether the power drives the chassis vehicle to drive or drives the concrete pump to work.
The fully hydraulic concrete boom pump uses a gearbox to drive two functions with one power, and the two systems become two parts of one system. The technical requirements are higher, and the operation of one system will be more stable and simpler.
And because it is a power drive, the fuel consumption during construction will be much lower, saving operating costs. And because a power unit is reduced, the body will be lighter, better balanced, and less fuel consumption during driving.
The hydraulic system is the "blood" of the pump truck. The actuators make corresponding actions under the control of the hydraulic system. Therefore, the hydraulic system is crucial for the pump truck.
During daily pumping, the temperature of the hydraulic system is most likely to rise, thus affecting the normal operation of the pump truck. The oil temperature of the hydraulic system of the pump truck is controlled between 45°-75°, which is considered a relatively normal oil temperature.
Once it exceeds the maximum temperature value, it means that the oil temperature of the hydraulic system is too high and should be taken seriously. Because the hydraulic oil temperature is too high, it will directly damage the 37 meter concrete boom pump and cause it to fail to work properly. So, what are the reasons for the increase in hydraulic oil temperature?
1. Is there any fault in the radiator?
Check whether the radiator fan power supply is powered, check whether the fan motor is damaged, etc. After completing the above work and turning on the fan, the hydraulic oil temperature returns to normal, and other reasons that cause the hydraulic oil temperature to rise can be ruled out.
2. Insufficient hydraulic oil
During normal operation, the liquid level displayed by the level gauge of the hydraulic oil tank is lower than the lowest working position, which means that the hydraulic oil in the tank is insufficient. Insufficient oil may also cause the working temperature of the hydraulic oil to rise.
3. Incorrect selection of hydraulic oil grade
The fluidity of hydraulic oils of different grades is different. The higher the viscosity of the hydraulic oil, the more heat is generated by friction during operation. Therefore, the grade of hydraulic oil used in pump trucks is also strictly controlled.
At the same time, hydraulic oils of different grades cannot be mixed, which will also cause the viscosity of the hydraulic oil to change.
4. Internal leakage of hydraulic oil in the pumping system
Internal leakage in the pumping system will cause the pressure of the system to decrease. At the same time, it will also increase the friction between the hydraulic oil and the actuator, thereby causing the temperature of the hydraulic oil to rise.
5. The overflow pressure set by the overflow valve is too high
The function of the overflow valve is to automatically release pressure when the system pressure is too high, which plays a role in protecting the hydraulic system. If the overflow pressure set by the overflow valve is too high, the hydraulic system will be delayed when it is under high-intensity load.
6. Incorrect system pressure setting
If the hydraulic system pressure is adjusted too low, the safety valve will open frequently, resulting in overflow loss, causing the hydraulic oil to flow too fast and causing the system to overheat.
