Concrete Mixer with Pump VS Other Concrete Pumps

Currently, concrete pumps can be divided into boom pumps, truck-mounted pumps, concrete pump trailer, concrete mixer and pumping machine. Before purchasing pumps for high-rise buildings, users must understand the differences between different types of concrete pumps, so that they can make a targeted choice that suits their project characteristics.

Different floors usually require different concrete pumps. Now the suitable concrete pumps for different floors are briefly introduced as follows:

1. Concrete boom pump truck

The boom pump is very popular among construction parties because it is very convenient to use. It saves labor costs during construction and is regarded as a once-and-for-all concrete pumping tool. However, the boom pump is not perfect and can solve all construction problems. If the floor is too high, the boom pump cannot help.

At present, the longest boom pump truck in the world is a 101-meter carbon fiber boom pump truck. Therefore, for buildings below 100 meters, the boom pump can easily solve the problem of concrete pumping. Once it exceeds 100 meters, you need to find other ways.

2. Concrete pump trailer

The concrete pump trailer is highly praised by construction parties because it is economical and cheap. However, the disadvantage is that it is not as convenient to transfer and use as a boom pump, which makes its production cost and market price significantly lower than that of a boom pump.

As long as the power is sufficient, the concrete pump trailer can transport concrete to an altitude of 200 meters or even 300 meters or even higher through manual pipe laying. Therefore, relatively speaking, the concrete line pump is a very cost-effective concrete pump.

3. Truck-mounted concrete pump

The vehicle-mounted pump can also be regarded as a concrete pump that is very convenient to transfer. It is not as convenient to use as the boom pump, so the cost is cheaper than the boom pump, but more expensive than the towable concrete pump.

The truck-mounted pump also requires manual pipe laying, so when the power reaches a certain level, it can also transport concrete to an altitude of 300 meters like the trailer mounted concrete pump. Therefore, for units that frequently move construction sites, truck-mounted pumps are also an ideal choice for many super high-rise buildings.

4. Concrete mixer with pump

The biggest feature of the concrete mixer with pump is that compared with other concrete pumps, it has a mixing function, so it is often used for on-site mixing at construction sites. It can b also use for high-rise building and long-distance concrete pumping.

However, compared with truck-mounted concrete pump and concrete pump trailer, the power of the small concrete mixer with pump currently on the market is smaller than the first two. Therefore, it is recommended to consider other concrete pumps for super high-rise buildings.

The survey shows that projects with a height of 250-300 meters are the mainstream of super high-rise buildings currently built, accounting for 57.3%. Therefore, the selection of concrete pumps for high-rise buildings has become a topic of great concern to many construction parties. Through the above analysis, you may know how to choose a proper concrete pump for your projects.
